  12. i wanted to use my zip disk as a hard drive back up disk
  13. but in its MS-DOS format it screws up all my filenames, so i
  14. endeavoured to format it to FFS or the like (going to shove it in
  15. an old A2000 thats still under KS1.2 so it might only like OFS)

  17. however, everything crapped up on me:

  19. Under HiSoft Tools
  20. it reads:
  21. "Error 45 3/49 While Accessing Zip Unit 6"
  22. and stops.

  24. Under Normal WB:
  25. "Couldnt Format Cylinder 0"
  26. and stops.
  27.  
  28. Under Squirrel ToolBox:
  29. "Error 20 on Write"
  30. and stops.

  32. Under any circumstances it will refuse a "Quick Format" too.

  34. Mo-Miga Disk Tools refuses to Format too, and neither will the
  35. Zip-specific software (that came along side Mo-Miga) work at all.

  37. so what do i do now?

  39. so i dont lose the use of a disk, i'm slapping it about on a PowerMac
  40. and formatting it back to MS-DOS...but i need this to back up my drive
